An unexpected pregnancy can happen to anyone—and if you’re still in school, finding out you’re pregnant can make everything feel uncertain. Our experienced medical and support team has walked alongside hundreds of students, including women in high school and college, providing compassionate care shaped by their unique needs.

We’re here to help—no pressure or cost involved. All of our services are offered at no cost to our clients. We do not bill insurance, collect insurance information, or charge for any services—so nothing will be sent to your home, your insurance company, or a parent. Your appointment is completely confidential.

Start with a Pregnancy Test

If you think you might be pregnant, the first step is confirming the pregnancy. We offer free, medical-grade pregnancy testing and a safe and confidential space to process your results. If your test is positive, we offer free and confidential options counseling to help you consider your next steps. Schedule your appointment today to take the first step forward.

Discuss an Ultrasound with a Nurse

If your pregnancy test is positive, you’ll need an ultrasound to confirm that your pregnancy is viable and determine how far along you are. Our team can schedule a no-cost, pregnancy confirmation ultrasound—often on the same day as your pregnancy test. Whether you’re considering abortion, parenting, or adoption, an ultrasound is important for your health and safety.

Consider Your Options

Once your pregnancy is confirmed, you’ll have three main options to consider: parenting, adoption, or abortion. While we do not refer or provide abortion services, our nurses are here to provide education and information on abortion pills and in-clinic procedures in Columbia, MO and Boone County.

Finding out you’re pregnant while in school can feel overwhelming—but it doesn’t mean your education has to stop. You have options, and there are legal protections in place to help you continue your studies without discrimination.

In Missouri, students are protected under Title IX, which prohibits discrimination based on pregnancy or parental status. This means schools must:

Allow pregnant students to stay in school and continue participating in all programs and activities
Excuse pregnancy- and childbirth-related absences for as long as medically necessary
Allow students to make up missed work
Offer alternative programs only if they are voluntary and comparable in quality
Provide lactation accommodations (e.g., private spaces and reasonable break times)
Protect students from harassment due to pregnancy or parenting

These rights apply at any school that receives federal funding—including public high schools and colleges.

Title IX also protects pregnant and parenting student-athletes. You cannot be removed from a team or lose your scholarship because of pregnancy, childbirth, or parenting. You must be offered reinstatement to your original position after pregnancy.

Note: Some rules that may be allowed under NCAA guidelines are not allowed under Title IX, so your rights under federal law still apply.

While we do not perform or refer for abortion, we are here to talk with you about it. We believe every woman deserves clear, medically-accurate information when making a pregnancy decision.

Abortion is a medical procedure, and your health and safety matter. Start by scheduling a proof-of-pregnancy appointment. If your test is positive, an ultrasound will determine viability and gestational age—two factors that affect your options and the potential cost of an abortion.

If you're considering abortion, it's normal to have questions like:

What are the different types of abortion?
What’s the difference between the abortion pill and an in-clinic procedure?
How far into pregnancy can I take the abortion pill?
What are the side effects? How might I feel emotionally afterward?
